Stunning detached barn conversion sleeping up to five people and located in the beautiful medieval village of Cartmel, and only 6.5 miles from Lakeside on the southern shore of Lake Windermere.
Guests approach this property directly from the village square, tucked away it is a peaceful location near the stream with private parking and a garden.
Once inside guests will find themselves in a hallway, off from which they will discover the stylish lounge/diner where huge floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with light and look out onto the courtyard.
A large inviting sofa and armchairs provide guests with a relaxing place to sit, whilst the entertainment is provided by a TV/DVD and hi-fi with iPod dock. The dining table sits in the window across the room from the lounge area and has ample space for five diners.
The kitchen can be found just across the hallway, a sleek space with a contemporary feel. There is also a second dining space in the kitchen and a patio door which leads out to the walled garden.
Up the stairs leads to the bedrooms on the first floor, all of which have been finished to a high standard to create comfortable sanctuary-like spaces, each with its own TV/DVD. The first of these is the master king-size room which benefits from an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. The second bedroom is a double room, whilst the third is a restful single. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor, and offers a shower-over-bath and WC.
Doors from the kitchen lead out to the walled garden, a tranquil private space where guests can relax over alfresco meals whilst children play on the lawn. There is garden furniture and a BBQ provided.
There is off-road parking for one car, whilst a permit is provided to allow a second vehicle to park in the nearby village car park.

Cartmel is a popular and pretty village with traditional lime washed and stone built houses, shops and pubs. There’s plenty to discover in the immediate area, including a Norman priory, a beautiful river, and the popular Cartmel Races, home of the smallest steeplechase racecourse in the country.
Located on the peninsula, Cartmel nestles just six miles south of Lake Windermere. There are plenty of easy walks from the village: you could climb Hampsfell with its panoramic views across towards Morecambe Bay, then descend down to Grange Over Sands or explore the tracks running through Eggerslack Woods. Among the many other highlights of this stunning area are the Grizedale Forest, the vibrant town of Kendal and the wonderful Fell Foot Park.
