Fabulous holiday cottage sleeping two guests, a period property given a stylish contemporary update to create a relaxing retreat just one mile outside the medieval village of Cartmel.
Stepping inside this pretty cottage, guests come directly to the open-plan ground-floor accommodation, comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner which has been lovingly finished with individual artistic touches to create a wonderful retreat from the outside world.
In the lounge area, there is an inviting sofa from which guests can enjoy the warmth of the cosy wood burner, as well as relax in front of a film on the wall-mounted wide screen TV.
A breakfast bar separates the lounge area from the kitchen area, a contemporary space which is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, and washer/dryer.
Stairs lead to the first floor where the attractive double bedroom looks out over the racecourse and offers its own TV. The shower room, also on the first floor offers a walk-in shower and WC.
A patio door from the kitchen leads out to the enclosed patio garden to the rear of the property, at the end of which there is a contemporary summerhouse, providing guests with a lovely place to sit and read or enjoy al fresco dining.
There is garden furniture provided.
Designated parking is provided for one car a short walk from the property.
Set just a short walk from Cartmel centre. Amazing views and stunning property. Great places to eat nearby. All equipment high class and the cottage was immaculate. Thank you for a fabulous break.

Had a lovely time in this stunning cottage. Enjoyed the pubs and a birthday lunch. Weather has mostly been very kind and the walk to Molker and its grounds is a must. This is my first trip to the Lake District and this cottage has certainly been an excellent base, thank you.

Cartmel is a popular and pretty village with traditional lime washed and stone built houses, shops and pubs.
There’s plenty to discover in the immediate area, including a Norman priory, a beautiful river, and the popular Cartmel Races, home of the smallest steeplechase racecourse in the country.
Located on the peninsula, Cartmel nestles just six miles south of Lake Windermere.
There are plenty of easy walks from the village: you could climb Hampsfell with its panoramic views across towards Morecambe Bay, then descend down to Grange Over Sands or explore the tracks running through Eggerslack Woods. Among the many other highlights of this stunning area are the Grizedale Forest, the vibrant town of Kendal and the wonderful Fell Foot Park.
