A lovely cottage which suited all of our family needs. On arrival we felt immediately relaxed, everything was clean and tidy and we were provided with thoughtful welcome goodies, as well as tea, coffee, etc. The location was great for us with a well stocked shop, cashpoint, three pubs and a fish and chip shop within easy walking distance. There are also nice walks around the village, particularly to Shap Abbey.

What an amazing property! A charming house which is in amazing condition, wonderfully appointed and a real find. The whole property felt homely and the mixture of traditional style and technology was amazing. Our dog was made very welcome with treats and places to sit in the house. An outside tap made keeping the pooch clean after walks was a nice touch. Thanks also to the hosts for making us feel so welcomed.
