Ullock is a great starting point to explore the Western Lake District and coast. There are an abundance of stunning countryside walks from the doorstep. Loweswater Lake, and Ennerdale Water are a short drive away, both lakes enjoy a certain solitude that can sometimes be hard to find in the Lake District.
There are a couple of pubs within a few miles of the cottage, so there’s no need to argue over the washing up. For shops, Cockermouth is close by and has a wide variety of small independent shops, pubs and cafes. Here you can take a tour round the Jennings Brewery or visit the Kirkgate Centre which doubles up as a theatre and cinema.
